An unusual presentation of coexisting parathyroid carcinoma and papillary carcinoma thyroid: a case report and literature review

چکیده
Parathyroid carcinoma is the rarest endocrine cancer with aggressive behaviour. It may be presented as a feature of severe hypercalcemia, musculoskeletal involvement and neck mass. There should high clinical suspicion if there marked very parathyroid hormone levels, palpable mass, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy due to invasion bone renal symptoms. Thyroid pathology has been seen in 15-70% patients primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) especially adenoma. Medullary thyroid common PHPT MEN 2 syndrome rarely co-existed non-medullary carcinoma. papillary extremely rare. Only 16 cases are reported literature.
